It's being reported that Benoit Mandelbrot has died.
Clouds are not spheres... and the economy is not linear. Fractals are beautiful things, and some one who can describe such amazing things in the language of mathematics is a genius. I just recently returned "Fractals and Scaling in Finance" to the library. Brilliant book.
